FripUP
DAI TEMPO AL TEMPO

“If time runs too fast and it seems like it’s never enough ... Maybe you’re not living in the right way.”

From this assumption born “FripUP - dai tempo al tempo”, that is a collection of three calendars (daily, lunar and seasonal) designed for the whole year, for the home, for us and for our time. Starting from the analysis carried out on the commuter population of Milan and studying the behaviors associated with it, it immedia- tely became clear that most people are dominated by the incessant flowing of time. In fact, once it’s lost it can not go back and this causes many problems such as constant haste, anxiety or dissatisfaction. There- fore the project looks towards a better future and possibly a more sustainable one. It’s an ambitious mission because the goal can only be achieved if we believe first, without allow ourselves be dominated by events, but by taking our life in our hands. It’s up to us to know how to take advantage of the time that remains us in the right way ... In order to enjoy every moment, with the right tranquility and positivity: give time to time

Behind FripUP hides a research, a reasoning, a project and a vision. To carry it forward, a simple tool was chosen: the calendar. It’s a simple object that everyone has at home and that is often underestimated, but that can actually open very interesting design scenarios. The entire project is entirely developed arround an eco-sustainable perspective: from the packaging to the paper tables on which the days are printed. Just the last ones were made with a special recycled paper that can release nutrients into the soil. Later it was possible to print the paper tables and drill them to the laser. This allows us, after the period of their useful- ness (a week or a month), to tear up a part of the calendar. Once you have cut it into pieces and spread it in a vase, it is possible to grow a wonderful plants. So even if there is only a simple piece of paper left, we have not lost everything, but we can try to fully enjoy the remaining time.
