IL NUOVO SOUVENIR DI MILANO
The project born from the reinterpretation of the typical souvenirs of Milan.
The object obtained, however, is not a simple ornament, but wants to make the visitor reflect on the various aspects of the city. For this reason the cathedral was literally divided in half and it was joined by materials with which to "play". The materials were not chosen randomly, but refer to what is expected from the Lombard city. The cement therefore speaks of industrialization and factories, while the wax and methacrylate suggest a Milan immersed in the fog. It is an ironic souvenir that already from the name wants to refer to the increasingly famous famous "Milanese imbruttito" or more simply to the "Meneghino" dialect.
The project is actually part of a collection of other souvenirs designed and made for the city and for the various museums.
